I woke up wired and half asleep,
Empty hands, but promises to keep.
I’m drowning in a shallow rush,
Too tired to move, too close to touch.

I feel alive like something dead,
One more thought still in my head.
All the good seats taken fast,
But I know time — it lets me pass.

I don’t fit the end, I don’t fit the start,
I miss the skill for falling apart.

I’m bad at dying, worse at living,
Got no reason left for giving.
I want what I want but don’t know why,
I’m not done yet, but I don’t try.

I’m bad at dying, weak at life,
Still feel the fire, still feel the knife.
Something’s burning deep in me,
But nothing here feels like it’s mine.

I’m hungry full of cheap desire,
Drunk on time that won’t expire.
