The foundation of the NF 53 is a solid swamp ash body. It features a burst coloring with much of the woodgrain visible underneath, showcasing the beauty of swamp ash's grain and unpredictable wood figuring, and is attached to a maple neck with a bolt-on neck plate. The neck features a comfortable Pattern 53 profile, and is topped with a fingerboard also made of maple, with a ten-inch fingerboard radius. On the fingerboard, twenty-two frets are surrounded by PRS' classic Bird inlays. A pair of PRS Narrowfield DD pickups are the beating heart of this NF 53. These "Deep Dish" pickups feature a unique design with taller bobbins and a mix of magnet and steel pole pieces, a design that delivers a focused and powerful tone with rich highs and a full bottom end. Finished in a McCarty Tobacco Sunburst finish, this classic looking guitar features gold hardware that contrasts its color. In the hardware department, this stunner boasts a PRS plate-style bridge, and PRS Vintage non-locking tuners.

Taking inspiration from Jimi Hendrix iconic sound, this PRS HDRX 20 features 2 5881 power tubes and 3 12AX7 preamp tubes. The 5881s break up early which is perfect for a 20-watt head. The 2-channel amp features an internal bridge so there is no need to jump channels like an old Marshall. Channel 1 has a bass volume control while Channel 2 has Treble Volume and a Bright switch. Both channels share Presence, Master Volume, 3 band EQ, and a Mid Gain on/off control. Lead and bass channels can be adjusted to create the perfect blend of power and distortion, with the overall output controlled by the convenient master volume.
