This video will show you how to setup your own Rust server with or without Oxide Mod.

You will need SteamCMD at the very least, if you want Oxide Mod as well download the files at both links:

Steps to Setup:

1) Download SteamCMD from:

It will be a zip file, extract it somewhere like "C:\SteamCMD\"

2) **OPTIONAL**

Install Oxide Mod, download zip file from:

http://oxidemod.org/downloads/oxide-f...

Extract it to a folder like "C:\Oxide\"

3) Open SteamCMD.exe
It should be located in the folder where you extracted the SteamCMD.zip file.

4)When you see the steam command prompt enter the following commands:

login anonymous
force_install_dir "C:\RustServer\"
app_update 258550

5) After the server files have downloaded, open the folder where they are located.

6) Create a new text document and open it by right-clicking and selecting "Edit."

7) Paste the contents of this file in the text document:

8) By editing the contents of the batch file you can customize your server; for more details check out this guide from Rustafied:

9) In Notepad select Save As and choose a new name for your file. Add "*.bat" to the end in order to create a batch file. Choose "All Files" in the Save As type.

10) If you want your server to be listed publicly you will need to forward the port you specify in your batch file. If you need to know how to do this check out this guide:

11) If you want a Vanilla Rust Server, open your batch file now. If you want to include Oxide Mod, continue on.

12) Open the folder where you extracted the Oxide files and copy them all.

13) Paste the Oxide files in the folder where you installed your Rust Server.

14) Open your batch file to start your server.
