The EU Horizon Europe project DIAMOND organised a webinar on “The past and future of scenarios in the IPCC” on Tuesday, 17 June 2025. This webinar was intended for researchers engaged in climate scenario development and assessment, especially those working with integrated assessment models (IAMs), energy-economy models, and broader scenario exercises. It provided a space to reflect on how scenarios have developed over time, explore opportunities to expand the modelling and scenario landscape, and consider how a more inclusive and pluralistic approach could enrich future assessments.
