Rolling Line and the NZR KA class - Steam Excursion on the North Island Main Trunk

In this video we'll be watching NZR steam locomotive KA 942 hauling an excursion train down the North Island Main Trunk; filmed on the Raurimu Spiral layout by therat. We'll start our coverage of the engine at Ohakune station and leave her to continue to Hamilton when she gets to the Raurimu Spiral itself.

Also seen in this video is a V8 electric locomotive in the KiwiRail livery, which is standing in for the real-life EF locomotives. There's also DXB 5068 and a basic Northern Explorer recreation at the end of the video.

The KiwiRail passenger coach re-skin was made by Gaugepunk himself, while the KA, V8 and DX re-skins were all made by me.
