Pokemon Sun/Moon In-Depth Review

On November 18, 2016, after nearly a year of constant teasing, and the surprise success of Pokemon Go, Pokémon Sun and Moon were released during the series' 20th anniversary celebrations to excellent reviews.

Critics praised the new Alola region, intricate storylines and departure of stale tropes and mechanics that had plagued the series' gameplay for years.

And along with high scores across the board, both games would combine to sell more than 16 million units worldwide, making them the third best selling titles on the 3DS and falling just short of their gen 6 contemporaries in terms of sales.

So do Sun and Moon stand up to and possibly even eclipse X and Y as the best modern day Pokemon adventures? Are the cutscenes too much to bear? And will Nebby ever get in the dang bag!?
