The InterContinental Dhaka was the first 5-star hotel in Dhaka. It was built in 1966 and recently had some renovations. I have to say that I really liked my stay here: the room was modern and had all I needed. The Byredo toiletries were a plus (they also have it at the Conrad London St. James, Waldorf Astoria Lusail and InterCon Bahrain). The pool was beautiful although I was not able to try it. Breakfast buffet had a plethora of food from different regions and all were of high quality. Lastly, the staff were all helpful and friendly. Sadly, the shuttle bus to the airport was delayed. After reminding them that a 10-minute delay for a 5-star hotel is not acceptable, they immediately rectified it. Overall, a great stay in Dhaka!
