JSS Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Navakarai, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Celebrates 10th International Yoga Day with Record-Breaking Performances

Coimbatore, June 8, 2024 – A grand celebration was held at the JSS Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Navakarai, Coimbatore, in honor of the 10th International Yoga Day. The event featured remarkable yoga performances by the institute's BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) students, earning two new entries in the Nova Book of World Records.

During the celebration, a mass of 108 medical college students showcased their yoga talents by performing Dasa Avathram (10 asanas) within 10 minutes. This impressive feat aimed to spread awareness about general health and has been recognized as a new Nova World Record, registered under Record No.: NWR-2024-1109.

In a parallel achievement, 453 medical college students demonstrated their yoga skills by performing Jalaneti kriya, a nasal cleansing technique, also to promote general health awareness. This performance set another Nova World Record, registered under Record No.: NWR-2024-1110.

The event took place on the JSS Institute campus from 6 AM to 9 AM, with both teaching and non-teaching staff coordinating the students' record attempts. Principal Dr. Dhilip V. R. addressed and motivated the students, encouraging them to successfully complete the records. Mr. E. Dhilipan, the Indian Director of Nova World Record, highlighted the organization's core aims and activities in his address.

The celebration concluded with the successful completion of both record attempts, and the institution was awarded the records. Certificates were provided to all participating students, marking their contribution to these notable achievements.
