Street Fighter Alpha 3 [Arcade] - play as Juni

This is a playthrough using Juni with S-ISM in the Arcade version of Street Fighter Alpha 3. Read on below for more information...

Juni appears with Juli as the penultimate boss for some of the characters in the game. She is a hidden playable character.

===== HOW TO UNLOCK JUNI =====

There are two ways to do this... the quickest way is the following method:

1) Go into the game's Test Menu, and then go into Input.

2) On Player 1's side, input the command: LP, LP, Forward, LK, HP. (Akuma's Raging Demon).

3) Now exit (by pressing START + LP) and the "HERE COME NEW CHALLENGERS" text will be shown. Exit Test Menu mode.

4) On the character select screen, highlight Karin for around 4 seconds, then move to any random select box, and do either of the following:

A) If the random box is on the left side of the grid, hold LEFT and press any attack button to select Juni.

B) If the random box is on the right side of the grid, hold RIGHT and press any attack button to select Juni.

===== ABOUT JUNI =====

Juni is a brainwashed assassin belonging to M.Bison's group of elite guards known as the Dolls. The Dolls are high-ranking members within Shadaloo, third to the leader Bison and the three Grand Masters (or four if you count F.A.N.G).

In the latest Street Fighter storyline, Juni is currently with the SIS Special Operations Unit group, Delta Red.

===== GAMEPLAY =====

She is basically a derivative/head-swap of Cammy, borrowing many of her special moves whilst having some unique moves to herself. Command-wise, where her partner Juli is the "rolling-motion" character, Juni is the "charge" character for the most part.

Some of her basics are different to Cammy's, and her unique special moves are the Mach Slide which is a teleport; and the Earth Direct which is a command throw performed with a 360 + [P]. She also has a super combo where she summons M.Bison to appear and perform his Psycho Crusher (this is a very good move).

Compared to Juli, Juni is definitely the more "advanced" of the two Dolls with many more moves than her partner. Perhaps most interestingly, some of her moves are based on Cammy's ones from the Marvel Vs. series, such as her aerial Spiral Arrow and a push-block move called the Psycho Shield (looks like the one from X-Men vs. Street Fighter).

It should also be mentioned that she has no close-up basics, unlike Cammy who has.

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====

---- When paired with Juli simultaneously (as CPU sub-bosses or in Dramatic Battle mode), she gains an extra 1 special move and 2 super moves. The 2 super moves involve teamwork with Juli.

---- When paired with Juli simultaneously (as CPU sub-bosses or in Dramatic Battle mode), one of Juli's special healing moves, called the Psycho Charge Gamma, involves both dolls healing together to restore health for Juli. This move can only be performed by the CPU Juli. It's the one where both her and Juni heal together, looks like they're holding hands.

---- A unique ISM is allocated for the CPU Juli & Juni (as a pair). This ISM is also known as S-ISM (Shadaloo-ISM). However this ISM is a separate entity and does not come with Juni.

---- The unique S-ISM is a non-selectable ISM.

---- The S-ISM in the Arcade and PS1 versions of the game actually works just like A-ISM (where you get 3 Levels of gauge). On the S-ISM gauge though, the 3 segments are not indicated - instead it appears to be one whole level power bar (like X-ISM), but it functions exactly like the A-ISM. This means that when using it, you cannot tell if you have Level 1 or Level 2 available... you have to judge it by using the amount of gauge charged up.

---- Despite being a different character, she uses M.Bison's fight routes and dialogues (Bison appears in these cutscenes with her).

---- She does not have her own portrait images in this version of the game. Instead, she uses M.Bison's ones. She does have her own lifebar icon though.

---- When Juli & Juni appears (simultaneously) as CPU sub-bosses, they have a unique lifebar icon and unique name text.

---- Her stage background is regular Bison's one in the daytime.

---- She shares BGM theme with Juli.

---- Her fighting style is formed from Shadaloo Elite Forces training.

---- Her name is German for June.

---- The Dolls are named after each month of a year, in the language of their home countries.
