Miniature Bonsai: Mame Bonsai collection - wicking/self-watering update

Three months into the self-watering experiment on multiple trees and I am happy to report that so far, all is going very well. I have been able to go away for multiple days in sunny hot weather with no worries about the trees going dry!

The field maple on the slab is going through it’s second season this year living under my porch. Last month was especially hot for us, and so far I have never once top watered him at all this season. All of his water and nutrition has been fed from the wick. Typically, I have to top off his reservoir every ~4 days.

Again I want to thank Eric at ‪@Bonsaify‬ for the inspiration to begin developing mame trees. I plan to do an end of season update probably around mid October to show how things progressed.
