Why Franchises Can't Survive in Yeonhui-dong

In this video, Matthew, the father of superstar Jeon Seomi, shows me around his neighborhood, Yeonhui-dong.

In and around downtown Yeonhui, you’ll find many mansions or stand-alone houses, some beautiful, some less, so yes, it’s definitely a wealthy neighborhood with many foreign diplomats, politicians, and even former presidents who have lived there. There are dozens of shops with high-quality (and yes, I’ve tried many) food, goods, and whatnot. If you're not good enough, you won't survive Yeonhui-dong. Why? Check out the video.
