This is one of the big Norwegian traditional tragic medieval love ballads.
Rideboll wants to elope with Gullborg, but her father is not amused, so he kills the young man. Gullborg then dies of grief for her lover Rideboll. Sad but beautiful.

I decided to add a "catchy" chorus to it.
