First year of university | An Autistic experience

In this video, I reflect on my first year at university as an autistic student.

It’s been a journey filled with both triumphs and challenges, and I’m excited to share my experiences with you all. From achieving high marks on my assignments (including one I submitted on the same day as my leg surgery!) to going through a tough housing situation, it hasn’t been easy, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

I’ll also talk about the amazing disability support I’ve received, which has made a huge difference in my experience compared to past educational settings. With one assignment left before I finish my first year, I’m trying to stay focused and not get too distracted by the exciting module books I’ve received for year two.

Join me as I discuss what it’s like balancing academics, personal challenges, and staying motivated as an autistic student in higher education. I hope my story can inspire and encourage others who might be facing similar situations.
