This is not the way to start a new season. The Mandalorian season 3 doesn't bother explaining major events that happened after season 2 ended. They were instead concluded, for some reason, at the end of The Book of Boba Fett. This takes all the emotional weight out of season 3 of Mando. What we have is a 30 minute fetch quest and some solid space combat. Oh yes, and a completely asinine Mandalorian ceremony.
