Описание к видео HANK WILLIAMS was in good hands when he finally Saw The Light in Oak Hill, WV in 1953

When Hank Sr. finally saw the light, in Oak Hill WV, he couldn't have been in better hands than Joe Tyree, who at the time was 27 and Funeral Director at Tyree Funeral Home, in Oak Hill, WV on rte 61. Mr Tyree has excellent recall and I hope to do at least one more video interview with him...This is part II of my first interview. He was so gracious in answering to the best of his knowledge and experience .. to shed light on the events of that night and the next day when he got the call, early that morning, from Lilly Williams, the mother of Hank Williams. It was the 1st of January, 1953. Charles Carr, the driver of the 53 Cadillac which belonged to Hank, was able to answer some of Mr. Tyree's questions, years later. Here he reveals those answers for perhaps the first time to the public...and others, putting to rest some of the myths and legends and establishing the hard facts from the eyewitness, the driver, Charles Carr, by phone some years later, and what Mr. Tyree knew to be true from experience.
