Hello everyone, here is my tutorial for the CRAZY DODERHOMBUS puzzle. This is one of the hardest puzzles I’ve encountered, and this video sets a new record for the longest video I’ve ever released. The crazy doderhombus is the default puzzle with three “1” faces, each separated by “0” faces.
I spent a huge amount of time learning how to solve this puzzle, and then making, editing and processing this video. I hope it’s helpful. It’s incredibly long because the puzzle is incredibly involved; and also because I wanted to cover every possible thing that you could encounter. I decided I would much rather explain things clearly and have it turn into a longer video, than to rush things just to cut down the time. You’ll see by the timings how comprehensive I’ve tried to be.
This was a very difficult video to make, in terms of knowing where to put various things. It’s not a simple solve, and so I’ve tried to be logical about when and where I talk about different things. However, a number of the algorithms are used together at different times throughout the solve, so I’ve grouped them into their own section as part of the Introduction.
In order to properly scramble it, I generally take 20-30 minutes.
⚠️IMPORTANT NOTE ON NAVIGATING THE VIDEO ⚠️
I strongly recommend watching the whole video. This will give you the best overall understanding of the puzzle. However, if you jump around or skip to certain sections, you may end up feeling like you’ve missed parts, which will probably be true.
If you are watching a certain section, which uses an algorithm you haven’t seen, and you want to see it explained, you should
☑️ Pause the video
☑️ Check the description for the appropriate chapter link
☑️ Click on that link and watch the section
☑️ Then, when it’s finished, hit the “Back” button on your browser.
This will mean you won’t lose your place but will still be able to see what you need to see.
Again, though, the easiest and best thing would be to watch the whole thing.
