Framed Vs Frameless Masks

Which should you buy? A Framed or a Frameless Mask? I recently had a mask FAIL on me at 120ft/35m!

What's the difference between a framed and a frameless scuba mask? Well, failure points, as I learned the hard way on a dive in Key LArgo recently. All of a sudden, my mask filled with water at depth. It was perfectly fine at the start of the dive, then BOOM! Flooded! The frame had failed. That is why frameless masks are always better.

As always, the most important factor when selecting a scuba mask is proper fit.
