Join us on a journey as we breathe new life into Mishka, our beloved 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ42, transforming it into our dream camping setup, all while sticking to a budget. Since getting Mishka in 2013, this rugged companion has taken our family on countless adventures across New Zealand, from the breathtaking landscapes of the South Island to the hidden gems of the North Island.

🚙 About Mishka:
Mishka isn't just a vehicle; it's a member of our family. Over the past decade, we've explored New Zealand's most scenic routes, embarking on two major tours of the South Island and numerous mini camping trips. But after years of service, it's time for Mishka to receive some well-deserved TLC, including rust repairs, paint touch-ups, and seal replacements.

🔧 Current Upgrades:
Our journey of improvement has begun. We're saying goodbye to our old camping setup, which included a 3-person rooftop tent and custom-built storage solutions, to make way for a more family-friendly configuration that accommodates our growing needs. We're currently working with what we have, using ground tents and makeshift storage, but we dream of something better.

💡 Our Vision:
We believe in making the most of the present, using what's available to us while we work towards our ideal setup. We're on a budget, which means prioritising repairs and upgrades step by step. We've already made significant progress, including selling our old rooftop tent and buying a new, larger one that fits our entire family comfortably. (Stay tuned for the updates).
