Basidiomycota Part 2: The Mushroom Life Cycle

We've looked at two of the three subphyla within the phylum Basidiomycota. But before we dive into all the different amazing types of mushrooms, let's get a better understanding of their life cycle, as this will provide important context for our further study of mycology. How do mushrooms reproduce, exactly? It's quite different from the ways that both plants and animals reproduce, in fact. Let's get a closer look!
