🚨 Reform UK Council Under Fire: Pride Group Takes Legal Action 🚨

Things are going very wrong at Reform UK–led Staffordshire County Council — and now it’s heading to court.

Stafford Pride has announced it is launching legal action after the council paid out every single community grant… except theirs.

Yes, really.

Back in July 2025, Stafford Pride successfully applied for a small community grant backed by two councillors — one Green, one Conservative. The money was agreed. The process was followed. And yet, months later, the cash is still mysteriously “awaiting approval” from a Reform UK cabinet member.

Stafford Pride organisers aren’t buying it — and they’re calling it what it looks like: vile homophobia.

After being stonewalled and fobbed off with excuses, the group confirmed on 27 January that legal proceedings have now begun — backed by a high-profile lawyer and at zero cost to the organisation. All funding will still go directly into Stafford Pride 2026.

This isn’t about the money.
It’s about accountability.
It’s about standing up to hate.
And it’s about asking a very simple question:

👉 Why was every other grant approved — except Pride?

This row doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Reform UK has repeatedly come under scrutiny for its approach to LGBTQ+ rights, from policies targeting trans young people to councils banning Pride flags and pulling funding from events like Durham Pride.

So is this just staggering incompetence… or something much darker?

Either way, Staffordshire County Council’s silence is getting louder by the day.
