The EV revolution isn’t just about green mobility, it has also enabled smaller companies to become major players in the automotive space. Compared to internal combustion engines, electric vehicles offer a more streamlined construction, enabling easier adoption, which is why so many new EV players are fresh entrants into the automotive space itself. In the two wheeler segment, for example, Ola and Ather are two of the most prominent players beating major names like Bajaj and TVS to the game.

Pravaig promises to deliver in a similar vein but in the significantly more challenging world of electric cars, where the risks, costs and challenges are much larger. They’ve now launched their first car the DEFY SUV at Rs 40 lakh ex-showroom, a car that boasts of a jaw-dropping tech package and performance that directly hits at luxury EVs. However, at the launch event, what they showcased was a stark contrast to what is promised and it raised many eyebrows. In this video, we discuss why that is.
