Arm lift surgery is a fairly straight forward surgery. Arm lift is mainly done for people who have undergone bariatric surgery or massive weight loss the skin in the arms starts sagging and once this sag comes to a certain level, the skin will shrink and sometimes the shrinkage will stop and the skin fold s looks quite ugly. So in that case an arm lift surgery is done on the inner side of the arms so that the scars are well hidden. The redundant extra skin and some amount of fat is taken out so that the skin is tightened in the arm and it gives you a more pleasant looking arm. The idea a of the surgery is to hide the scars in such a way that nothing is visible on the outside. It will all be done on the inside of the arm. However if you lift your arm, it will be visible to a certain extent.
