Have you seen the large number of Jeepneys that have taken over the public parking spaces in West Avenue?

According to complainants in the area, many jeepney drivers have converted those public parking spaces into their permanent garage and are allegedly sleeping there.

When the MMDA asked to see a terminal permit, they showed a Barangay Clearance Certificate for a temporary terminal INSIDE the nearby gas station, which they claim to be paying P8000 per month.

As you can see in the video, the terminal Is operating on the public parking spaces, not inside the gas station. And many jeeps are left unattended, occupying spaces that are intended to be used on a temporary and first-come-first-served basis.

When those public parking spaces are occupied by jeepneys, visitors to the nearby businesses are more likely to park in the road, adding to traffic and congestion.
