KLIA Terminal 2 (Formerly known as KLIA2)
KLIA2 (Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2) is the second terminal of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), located in Sepang, Malaysia. It was built to cater to the growing demand for low-cost carriers and officially opened on May 2, 2014, replacing the former Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT).

Here are some key points about KLIA2:
Purpose: KLIA2 was designed primarily for low-cost airlines, particularly AirAsia, which is one of its largest tenants. It was built to handle up to 45 million passengers annually.

Facilities: The terminal is modern and offers a wide range of amenities, including shopping and dining options, lounges, and transportation services. It also features a large retail space called the Gateway@KLIA2, which includes a variety of shops, restaurants, and other services.

Connectivity: KLIA2 is well-connected to KLIA1 (the main terminal) via a high-speed train service called the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit, as well as shuttle buses. The distance between the two terminals is about 2 kilometers.

Transportation: The terminal has excellent transportation links to Kuala Lumpur city center, including the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit trains, buses, taxis, and car rental services.

Check-in and Boarding: KLIA2 has a spacious check-in area with self-service kiosks and traditional counters. The terminal also features aerobridges, allowing for comfortable boarding directly from the terminal to the aircraft, unlike the LCCT, which required passengers to walk to their planes.

KLIA2 has become a major hub for budget travelers in Southeast Asia, offering convenient and affordable travel options.
