Following the tremendous success of the first edition, the 2017 Qatar Chamber SME Conference is set to be yet again a significant event for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Qatar. Under the Patronage and in attendance of the Prime Minister of Qatar, the conference will focus on Turkey to hear firsthand the experiences and best practice taking place at international level in order to provide innovative solutions and encourage creative thinking among entrepreneurs and investors.

The opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in global value chains (GVCs) are enormous. Participation in value chains exposes them to a large customer/buyer base, as well as opportunities to learn from large firms through engaging and participating in different sectors of the global marketplace. This Conference will enable participants to discuss “access to markets, access to skills, access to finance and access to innovation” opportunities for SMEs in the light of Qatari and Turkish experiences and good practices.
