Live: Volcano erupts in south-western Iceland

Icelandic town under threat as Lava flows have reached the eastern defences around the evacuated town of Grindavik, local media has said.

A state of emergency has been declared in southern Iceland because of another volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula.

It is thought to be the most powerful geological flare-up so far.
