this method of using a dummy is accepted to be a "Solo" by MMO-Champion as per their report on World First, who used the same method. the only way to start LK mechanics is to have a training dummy, or a no-geared friend to put up with you. :).
the Plague is a vital mechanic that needs to start, and can never be done with only a tank. it will never become more close to a solo than this, until MoP and gear upgrades. also, you are not to use a buddy, or training dummy more than once per attempt for it to be considered a "solo"

to solo LK, you need to be either an engineer with dummies, or have a friend willing to play "dummy" for you. :) the reason is that the Necrotic Plague mechanic will never start on a tank, so you need a second object for the LK to target, and start it. Instead of a dummy, I used a naked friend :). there was no contribution from him toward the LK, other than starting the mechanic.

throughout the fight, Anti-Magic Shell, IBF, Vamp Blood, and Rune Tap need to be managed right.

100 - 70%:
control your aoe DPS!! if the adds die too quickly, Plague will decay too soon, or kill you! (why I use Blood Strike for the first part)

Infest - gets stronger, and stronger the longer it is on you, and eventually gets too strong to survive. only way to dispel is to heal above 90%.

Necrotic Plague - lasts for 15s, until its target dispels, or dies. gets stronger the more units it kills. needs to managed in such a way that it kills all of the adds not too quickly. otherwise, it will end up on you and kill you. you can dispel it if you're quick enough, but then it will never return and you'll have a ton of adds from phase 1 for the rest of the fight which should be killed by the plague. it also decays completely if there are no units in 10 yards of the last mob to have it, and be killed from it.

70% - 30%

Infest continues - heal above 90% to dispel

Remorseless Winter - stay out of it

Restless Spirits - these guys will silence you. you need to kill them as fast as you can. they begin to spawn with each Winter

Ice Sphere - these will thrown you off the platform, killing you. positioning yourself right on the throne, or killing them solves them. they appear with each Winter too.

Defile - stay out of it

30% - 10%
run away from the Spirits! they eventually give up chasing you. unless they hit you of course
