3D printed Gloster Meteor 30mm EDF first flight

This is the first flight of a scaled-down (to 60% size) 3d printed Gloster Meteor, adapted from Phil Bendeich's original 50m EDF Meteor.

Blustery wind conditions did not stop the little Meteor from successfully completing its maiden voyage without a scratch! Many thanks to Gordon Mackenzie for capturing this flight under difficult conditions.

Like Phil's original larger design this small version flies really well. Two QX-30 EDFs and 3S lipo cells give the model great performance (one 650mAH pack used in the prototype, battery bay will fit up to 1300mAh when finally configured). Thanks Phil, for a fabulous design!!!!
