The Lick Run Project is the largest public works project in the history of Cincinnati. It's an innovative and sustainable solution to urban water challenges that also directly addresses future redevelopment of neighboring brownfields. The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSD) partnered with thought leaders and community residents to develop this innovative solution. The integrated watershed solution will create an urban waterway, reduce combined sewer overflows by nearly 85-percent, re-purpose about 30 acres of brownfields or vacant land and connect the community to the underutilized, undervalued natural resource -- the Mill Creek.
