In October 2022, we went to Bhaktapur to do a short video on traditional paper making in Nepal. The Prajapati family welcomed us warmly into their Peacock Paper Making Workshop and walked us through the process for our camera. Nepal has a long history of making paper from the Lokta plant. They used to do every step by hand, but now have incorporated a few basic machines into the process to help. Bhaktapur is a Newari town in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. Tara Linhardt is the host and Ian Poole did the camera and video editing bringing you another Tarian Production.
