Day 11 - Keelung to Taipei

DIARY:
The rain finally stopped for the final leg back to Taipei. Intentionally short, this route follows the shared bike path the Keelung River into Taipei.

The urban density returned to the scenes and suddenly the bustle of city life re-emerged. The architecture can range from old suburban concrete blocks to rustic temples and modern sporting facilities. Taipei proper would revealed herself when the route entered the spaghetti of soaring expressways.

These scenes did encourage some reminscing. And for sure I recorded three rounds of me narrating my entire 12 days on Taiwan Route One.

One repeating statement I recorded myself saying, was "I am happy that I have done this." And the words came from my pumping heart, kicked by my weary legs and on my sleeves a big smile.
