Hey, I remember lift doors like this from my childhood - with the three bars in the glass (you'll see what I mean if you see the video!)

I was walking past this shop and noticed this lift through the shop front.

Although the buttons have been updated, there is no sign of any modern levelling devices in the shaft. Furthermore, the doors open slightly ahead of the lift stopping, which is a sign of a classic Otis controller.
In the shaft is a SELECTOR TAPE which controls the lifts position, slowing and floor levelling.

Also, no car top controls!

The moving platform is driven by the metal 'tape' that you can see attached to the wheel at the side of the unit in the first video above.
