Hard to Watch: Terrified Severely Under-Socialized Puppy Mill Rescue Dog Afraid of Human Touch

This may be difficult to watch. What you’re seeing is an extremely under socialized dog. When animals, dogs in particular, are not touched and handled on a regular basis, this can be the outcome. Or, if they haven’t been touched in the way they should be, they have zero reason to trust in humans or believe that we are here for their well-being. Jackson is an example of this kind of fear. But Jackson is also a shining example of how forgiving dogs can be. Watch through the difficult part to see how this precious boy is already willing to accept gentle touch and love from our Rehab Team members, even as fearful as he is. Dogs only want to know that they are loved and safe. Once that message is communicated, the walls begin to come down. Stay tuned for more of Jackson’s Journey. He is in obvious need of grooming and will receive that once it’s safe for all involved. This boy will come out of his shell and begin to know the life he deserves. We can’t wait to watch!
