Hunter & McMustard write songs they describe as lowlander contemporary folk and roll with bluegrass , rockabilly , country,  folk and comedy influences.An eclectic modern take on folk music with a social and global consciousness. Their 1st release a tribute to comedy legend Billy Connolly was to raise funds and awareness for the Friends of the People's Palace and Winter Gardens. The single was passed onto the big yin by Glasgow acting legend Gavin Mitchell, it received play on the Iain Anderson and Travelling Folk show on BBC Radio Scotland. The next batch of songs include historical reimaginings of 'Jacobites', climate change with 'This West Of Scotland Vegan Is Going To Do Your Nut In'. Their passion for the environment and rewilding has lead them to write and perform  Born To Rewild a walking gig theatre show performed outdoors in nature at Vogrie Pogrie Festival, the Govan Wetlands Project and Kelburn Garden Party as well as playing at campaigns to Save Maryhill Library and The Peoples Palace and The Winter Gardens. They have influences as varied as Flatt and Scruggs, Flight Of The Conchords, The Mighty Boosh, Robert Burns, The Proclaimers, Simon and Garfunkel, Limmy and the Humble Bums. 

Colonel John McMustard is the frontman of genre hopping ultimate festival band Colonel Mustard and The Dijon 5 and his solo album Sports Mixture and first gig theatre show Colonel Mustard & The Big Bad Wolf received critical aclaim when released at The Edinburgh Fringe 2019. 

Colin Hunter is an Ayrshire born and bred singer songwriter with heartfelt emotive lyrics that have seen him support acts as diverse as Pictish Trail and Kyle Falconer.
