GBO2 Gaplant TR-5: Like a 500 cost Zeta Gundam?!

Описание к видео GBO2 Gaplant TR-5: Like a 500 cost Zeta Gundam?!

This video contains two rated matches I had with the recently released LV1 Gaplant TR-5 on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 500 cost general with excellent mobility from the shield boosters, high melee damage, a long reach heat blade with the same moveset as the Zeta Zaku, a transformation and overall good stagger ability. Its weaknesses would be sluggish hovering and turning speed, a reliance on keeping its shield intact for mobility reasons as well as it being large and easy to shoot. This suit feels pretty fun from about 2 hours of playtime, it seems like a strong option for a frontline disruptor sort of playstyle. For the sake of clarity, I played these two matches on go_already's account so I could get footage for the suit. The music for this video was also suggested by him. I hope that you enjoy watching!

Its primary weapon is a long beam rifle with 2200 power, 6 ammo, 6 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 1 second swap time, 500m range and 10% stagger value. This is a pretty typical instant stagger beam rifle. It has poor stagger value but the long range can come in handy.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2100 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 60% combo modifier and 140% downswing modifier. This has pretty decent power and it uses the narrowly hitting Dom melee moveset. This is technically the ideal combo starter in terms of damage, but it can be awkward to properly combo into the heat blade.
Its first sub weapon is a rapid fire beam rifle with 700x3 power, 6 ammo, 1.5 seconds cooldown, 12 seconds reload, 1 second swap time, 500m range and 35%x3 stagger value. This has high power, long range and decent cooldown time which makes it pretty versatile. It can't stun boosting raids or suits with Damage Control in one burst, but it is useful for staggering most generals.
Its second sub weapon is a long heat blade with 2400 power, 3 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and 100%x2 downswing modifier. This has decent cooldown time, incredible reach, a very fast downswing animation and great power. This is the all round best combo starter since you can easily connect a beam rifle stagger into a heat blade downswing, but the neutral swing also has great reach.
While transformed it has a variation of the rapid fire beam rifle with 500 power, 6 ammo, 200 RPM, 13 seconds reload, 500m range and 25% stagger value. This can be fired while boosting and can stagger the enemy in about 1.5 seconds, but you need to be quite accurate. This is the only weapon available while transformed.
It is also equipped with two 5000 HP shield boosters, one for each arm. These can block quite a bit of damage but you don't really want them to break, since you get increased mobility for having them intact.

The LV1 TR-5 has 17000 HP, 18 ballistic resist, 21 beam resist and 25 melee resist. This is pretty decent durability considering the two shield boosters and the 15% reduction buffers for the legs and back. It has LV1 Maneuver Armor and Emergency Evasion for defensive skills.
In terms of mobility it has 130 (185) hover speed, 200 (215) boost speed, 55 thrust and 60 (48) turning speed. Its mobility seems quite poor at first, but it is made up for a lot by the Shield Booster Controller skill. This adds +20/15 boost speed, -55/50% initial thrust usage and -30/25% thrust usage while boosting depending on how many intact shield boosters you have equipped. This gives you incredible mobility while boosting, but the suit handles poorly while not boosting. This means that you should focus on hit and run attacks. It also has LV1 Forced Injectors and LV2 Flight Control to further increase mobility.
It also gets two ramming skills. Shield Booster Attack activates after boosting forward in MS mode for more than 1 second. It causes you to deal 3000 damage and staggers any enemy you come into contact with, it also ignores Maneuver Armor. This isn't that practical usually since if you get that close you would prefer to abuse the reach of the heat blade.
High Boost Ram Attack works the same way but while transformed, boosting ram attack damage to 3000 and adding +5 boost speed.

Overall I feel like the TR-5 is pretty strong. You can basically play it like a combination of Zeta Zaku, Zeta Gundam and Hazel Custom. You have excellent thruster efficiency, so you can go around disrupting enemies with your powerful knockdowns and high mobility for quite a long time. Its transformation isn't super useful but it is quite a good tool to have regardless at 500 cost, maybe even a potential counter to a camping Methuss if used properly. It is held back by sluggish mobility when not boosting alongside being easy to interrupt, but I think this is just good balance at play. I can certainly recommend the TR-5 if you are a fan of the Zeta Zaku or Zeta Gundam. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
