Baden Powell's Inverse (or Brazilian) Rasgueado - Three Exercises in Notation and TAB

Описание к видео Baden Powell's Inverse (or Brazilian) Rasgueado - Three Exercises in Notation and TAB

Three short exercises to improve speed and accuracy of a right-hand guitar technique made famous by the late Baden Powell (1963-2000).

You probably know the rasgueado from Spanish flamenco. There, the fingers normally extend in quick bursts in the direction of bass to treble strings. Here, the fingers contract into the palm, going from treble to bass.

Exercise 2 uses the middle two beats of the famous arpeggio pattern from Etude No.1 of Douze Etudes by Heitor Villa-Lobos.

iPhone audio and video. (Didn't feel like hauling out the works.)
