Happy, flirtatious and exuberant best describe Samba dancing. The Samba comes from Brazil and is considered the dance of celebration and joy at Carnival celebrations in Rio. Its quick rhythms and steps are danced to Brazilian musical instruments called the tamborim, chocalho, reco-reco and cabaca. The "Samba Bounce Action," gives the dance its unique look and feel. It is a gentle, rhythmic action felt through the knees and ankles that should appear effortless and carefree, without being too exaggerated. This bounce action can be difficult to master, but really adds to the overall character of the dance.
