Affected by Typhoon Doksuri, extreme rainfall was recorded in north China and the regions along the Yellow and Huaihe rivers, triggering floods and geological disasters and causing heavy casualties in Beijing and Hebei. As of August 1, nine people had been killed while six others are still missing after heavy rain lashed Hebei. A total of 11 people have died and 27 others remain missing after rainstorms in Beijing, local authorities said Tuesday. Beijing experienced the heaviest rainfall in 140 years from July 29 to August 2. #shorts
