The webinar "Legal issues on protection and enforcement of biopharmaceutical patent rights in Russia" was held by Gorodissky & Partners (Moscow). Dmitry Klimenko, PhD, Patent Attorney, and Eugeny Alexandrov, PhD, Chief Lawyer, spoke on selected legal aspects of obtaining and protection of IP rights for bio-pharma inventions via the Russian PTO and Eurasian PO, told the legislative and procedural differences between the attitudes of these offices. Among the webinar's highlights were patentability of biopharmaceutical inventions, drafting claims for biopharmaceutical subject-matters, evaluating industrial applicability, widening scope of protection, patent term extension, conditions for patent infringement and evidence of infringement, availability of preliminary/interim injunctions and others. The webinar's target audience included patent attorneys, lawyers and businessmen interested in the IP practice in the pharma field in Russia.
