22. WSO2 APIM v4 - Application Level Rate Limiting

Continuing to the previous video about different ways to configure rate limiting in an API, we’ll drill down the application level rate limiting in this video, create a custom application rate limiting tier, and do a demo.

1. Checking rate limiting OOTB tiers for an Application via Devportal
2. Create a new application and select the default 10PerMin tier
3. Subscribe the application to an API and test
4. Create a new policy for application tier as 5ReqeustPerMinute
5. Test the API with the revised app tier

Using the application tier-controlled access gives application owners access to the API within the specified quota for that application else get HTTP 429 Too Many Requests!
