This was the first week of Tom Olszta returning to the show after winning the $10,000 prize in the 1993 Championship show (and with the program then broadcasting the Women's bowling for the next two months after that), with Tom defending his streak of wins after having won seven consecutive weeks beforehand.

This match with Lee Buskey was very close through the end of the 2nd game, but then some great shot making in the 3rd game really allowed one of the bowlers to pull away in this match.
