OSRS: The Abyssal whip is not better than the Saradomin Sword, here's why

The Abyssal whip is a weapon that is similar in power to an SS sword, except its 1 handed.
I'm not saying the whip isn't good, but this video is explaining why the SS sword is better based on DPS, I can go on and explain about the special attacks as well.

The Saradomin sword advantages

High DPS and Special Attack Damage: The Saradomin Sword has a fine max hit of 52 at 88 strength, and a similar speed to a whip we all thought was the fastest. It's safe to say that it's a weapon I have invested in by buying 8 of them. When players are training they might not want to mess with a shield at all, and prefer more attack versatility with the S Sword. The special attack and extra inventory space could make the difference since you don't need to waste time switching weapons.
Price: The Saradomin Sword is very affordable at 170,000 gold instead of 1.7 million gold like the abyssal whip.

EXP Advantage: The whips max hit is only a 29 and it does not change with its special attack that attacks movement speed. If your attack strategy includes the need for a shield, this is a better option against rangers.

Disadvantages: Less defense bonuses, insuperior to other Godswords that serve a similar purpose, requires 2 hands so it's not as effective for slayer that may require a shield.

As a warrior, I can understand the need for a shield occasionally such as with dragons or ranged weapons like the ballista.

Abyssal Whip advantages: A special attack that reduces run energy by 10% with each spec. This can make a difference when in a party, but I find this advantage to be difficult to value when compared to other weapons.
