The Photonics Spectrum 2024 is a seven-day hybrid workshop on optics and photonics, taking place from August 5th to 11th, 2024. It is organized by the Optica Student Chapters of the Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), The Northcap University (NCU), and Muhammed Abdurahiman Memorial Orphanage College (MAMOC). The workshop is also supported by the Optica IIT(ISM) Student Chapter, the University of Engineering & Management, Jaipur, and Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur.

The workshop aims to cover a wide range of topics in the field of optics and photonics, from their historical development to the latest innovations. It will feature sessions on technical topics such as nonlinear optical properties of 2D materials, machine learning for RMCSA algorithms, head-mounted adaptive optics instruments, optical coherence tomography, photonic quantum technology, and nanostructured materials. Additionally, there will be sessions on non-technical topics like professional development in optics and photonics, effective communication for managers, career development during a PhD, and critical thinking for optical engineers. The workshop targets a diverse audience, including faculty members, undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, and industry professionals.
