honestly buy these secondhand on fbm or ebay.
i stole my mom’s old kindle bc she wasn’t using it, i would maybe get a different device if i didn’t have this
but for me kindle ecosystem works across ALL my devices, unlike something like koreader (unfortunately)

i only recommend if you can accept the SUPER minimalist aspect of this device, it’s very slow

i actually have the 64GB with 2TB SSD (also renewed when purchased). this machine is insane, i love apple’s fluidity between devices, but i know not everyone can afford it. for me i need speed for editing, but if you don’t need a beefy device, the MX (M1, M2, M3, M4) MacBook Airs are insane for productivity. can easily pick up 2nd hand
