Roger McGuinn "If I Needed Someone" (Beatles) cover - Old Faithful Covers

077 - Old Faithful Covers version of "If I Needed Someone" (Beatles) by Roger McGuinn. The song is a multi-track cover on which I played and sang all of the instrumental and vocal parts. I tried to sound as close to the original Roger McGuinn recording as possible.

George Harrison wrote the song after being influenced by the Byrds song "The Bells of Rhymney". Many years later, Roger McGuinn of the Byrds decided to complete the circle by doing his own cover of George's song. The Rickenbacker 12 string is overdubbed 5 times on my cover (60 strings of jangle - tuned to Eb).

No drum machines, harmony generators, plugins, quantization, MIDI files, sampled music, borrowed / bought / stolen instrumental or vocal tracks were used in the recording. I played or sang every note in this cover.
