It will do 1800 RPM with the 3 blade propeller and 2200 RPM with the 2 blade propeller. I haven't checked it without one but it's fast.
The variable contacts are nice because it idles much better at the bottom (smaller end). Only 1-2 contacts hit and draw little amps. It runs much faster at the top where 4 contacts hit and draws max amps. The center rotor is angled if you missed it in the video. All copper contacts. Ball bearings on the crank and master rod. Nylon bushings on everything else. The solenoids rarely get too hot. Pretty smooth.
