the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the successful combat debut of the Fattah-2 hypersonic missile and the heavy Khorramshahr-4 (Kheibar). These strikes follow the ongoing U.S.-Israeli campaign, Operation Epic Fury, which began on February 28.

Key Weapons & Targets in Today's Strikes:

Fattah-2 (The Hypersonic Threat): Confirmed by military observers on March 1-2, this missile uses a Hypersonic Glide Vehicle (HGV) capable of speeds up to Mach 15. Reports indicate it was used to target U.S. Fifth Fleet HQ in Bahrain and IDF command centers, specifically designed to maneuver around THAAD and Arrow-3 interceptors.

Khorramshahr-4 (The Heavy Hitter): The IRGC claims to have fired these 2,000 km-range missiles at Ben Gurion Airport and the Lod Airbase. Each missile carries a 1,500 kg warhead, with some variants utilizing cluster munitions that can disperse submunitions over a 16 km diameter.

The "19th Wave": Iranian state media reports that the 19th wave of "Operation True Promise 4" involved over 230 assault drones and dozens of ballistic missiles aimed at U.S. bases in Kuwait and Iraq.

Retaliation for Khamenei: These strikes are being framed as direct revenge for the confirmed death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the first day of the conflict.

U.S. Response: President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth have signaled that the U.S. will "not ease strikes," while the U.S. House of Representatives recently voted to back the President's war powers.
