Bayou La Batre, a quiet small community that doesn't look like much from the outside, but sometimes one needs to hear the history behind a place like this, that is where the real beauty will be found.
It is a shrimping/fishing village by the sea, where you can find beautiful boats docked along the Mississippi sound that runs through this community. A community that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina but there is a story that goes with this storm that brings this community back to life in a way that lets them keep their traditions and what makes them thrive.
Of course this town is mentioned in the Movie Forest Gump with Tom Hanks, which I do love this movie.
And they did build a ship for the movie PIRATES OF THE CARIBEAN, that is how diversified this ship building community is.
