You may want to keep some air freshener to hand. The 'big bad one', not just of Elvis, but celeb biographies in general, from a man whose work was once likened to 'being run over by a convoy of manure trucks' by a fellow writer. Consensus seems to be that Goldman's volume is not a book for the squeamish. I'd also add that it's not a book for those who are protectively inclined towards the way in which Elvis is portrayed. So, viewer discretion advised. Also, you'll have to excuse the odd bit of street noise that leaked in.
