In this vlog we will find out if China's center of power for the last 800 years is worth visiting, dive deep into its history, culture and cuisine and even check out the local contemporary art scene.

We will start our exploration with the Forbidden city with a deeper dive in Imperial history and the story of the controversial Empress Dowager Cixi and China's concubinate system. Just outside the Forbidden city, the surrounding Hutong neighbourhoods with their unique Siheyuan courtyards await us, here we will try the local breakfast delicacies like Beijing Douzhi'er (豆汁儿) and Ji Dan Guan Bing （鸡蛋灌饼).

Of course no Beijing travel vlog is complete without trying Peking duck and the special Zhajiangmian.（炸酱面)

We will show you Beijing's busy nights in Wanfujing street, Qianmen street and check out the amazing 798 Art district.
